Community Service – Co‐Chairs: Julie Russ / Shane Kirk
Identifies opportunities for members to engage in community activities that enhance the image of REALTORS^®. Reviews viability and timing of community and charitable activities such as the annual benefit auction and blood drive. Encourages participation in all outreach opportunities.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) – Co‐Chairs: Leah Cole / Liz Schoeneberger
Recognizes and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging among members and within our community. Provides opportunities for growth through education and action.

Public Schools – Co‐Chair: Roger Hudson / Kathleen Hypolite
Creates opportunities for REALTORS^® to enhance their knowledge of and involvement in the public schools. Informs members of public education’s resources and needs. Coordinates the annual “Fill the Bus” campaign, and Book Harvest drive to provide supplies and books to local students.

Grievance Committee – Co‐Chairs: Rachel Elliott / DJ Maniace
Conducts preliminary evaluation of ethics complaints and arbitration requests. Determines whether a hearing is warranted. Two-year prior Real Estate experience needed. Three-year term. Annual training required.

Independent Broker Council (IBC) – Chair: Justin Burleson
Provides support, networking, and opportunities to exchange business savvy ideas with owners, BICs, and Principal Brokers of other small, non-franchise firms. Discuss current rules and industry changes, and technology offerings from DRAR, TMLS, and our other partners. Members should be licensed and active real estate professionals of independent (non-national franchise) firms dedicated to the real estate industry, and passionate about exploring new ways to learn and grow for their firm. Bi-monthly Meetings.

Home Show / Housing Opportunities – Chair: Julie Russ
Plans and coordinates annual Home Show. Identifies and promotes programs and resources that expand housing availability and homeownership opportunities.

Legislative/Political Affairs – Chair: Gian Hasbrock
Monitors legislation and agency regulatory issues that affect the real estate industry. Expands advocacy efforts to ensure DRAR will be seen as the leading advocate for private property rights and real property ownership among members, the public, media, and elected / appointed officials. Educates members on the critical nature of grassroots activism and responsiveness to Calls for Action.

New Neighborhood REALTOR Expo – Contact: Shelia Willis
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates the annual New Neighborhood Expo. Comprised of HBA members and REALTOR^® members.

New Member Orientation / Membership – Chair: Jon Fletcher
Welcomes and provides guidance for new members, including Membership Benefits and Activities. Encourages new member participation on committees and at events.

Professional Standards Committee – Co‐Chairs: Janet Breedlove / Sally Clark
Conducts hearings in matters involving alleged ethical misconduct by members and requests for arbitration. Prior three-year term on the Grievance Committee and Annual Training required.

Property Management – Co‐Chairs: Phyllis Portie‐Ascott / Tschanna Crenshaw
Provides a forum for addressing the unique challenges of managing rental property in today’s ever-changing economic and legislative environment. Bi-monthly Meetings.

RPAC-REALTOR^® Political Action – Chair: Sondra Trice‐Jones
Responsible for the development and organization of DRAR’s RPAC Fundraising Plan to collect voluntary political contributions. Communicates and educates on the value of member’s investing in RPAC. Meets or exceeds NAR’s annually established RPAC fundraising goal.

Social – Chair: Lisa Borer
Plans social functions, such as the Annual Awards Luncheon and golf tournaments. Recruits sponsors and encourages member participation.

Young Professionals Network (YPN) – Co‐Chairs: Lori Venable / Sherenia Branche
Fun group that encourages new real estate practitioners to connect at networking events, and to become more business savvy by sharing tips and tricks.
